One literary element I found in my book while reading was a simile. The author says, "The pollution in Bangkok is spreading like wildfires" (261) This was effective because it shows the audience what is really happening and how fast the pollution is spreading.

One appeal I found in my book today was logos. Because, the author used facts such as water levels have risen 15% in the past two years. Yes this was effective because people can see what is really happening with global warming and climate change.

This book has prompted me to ask, what are people doing to try to stop climate change? They are making it seem like no actions are being taken to try to help with global warming.

The best part of my reading today was learning more about what the authors expirenced with climiate change, this is my favroite part because it is interesting to see what other people have went through and how this has changed there lifes.

What suprised me the most while reading was, how much climate change is changing our everyday lives.

The word I chose is " one-idyllic". This means pleasing or picturesque in natural simplicity. I chose this word because I did not know what it meant.

One observation I have one my book "The World As We Knew It" is there are 5 different authors that all share their experience on climate change and global warming.
