So far I can’t hardly put this book down! I can hardly wait to see what’s going to happen and how it will end!

So far, this is an interesting story, and reminds me of “The Count of Monte Cristo”. I’m finding it well written, the narration excellent, dialogue and descriptions fairly decent. I can tell this author is clearly not a Christian however. 🤷‍♀️ Either way, will see how the conflicts and romance concludes and report back when I finish listening to this captivating novel! 👀🫡

Almost finished with this book and it’s fantastic! So far it’s opened my eyes to how insidious the opium trade once was, even in the United States. 😳 Well written, strong character development, intriguing romance, and a suspenseful story, if I weren’t reading this book aloud to my husband at night before bed, I would have already finished it! I just hope it has a good ending!! 🤞😬

So far I’m just over halfway through this book, which has brought me to tears on more than a few occasions as I felt God’s presence so near as I listened! The true nature of God comes through so richly in Mr. Goll’s expressive narration. I believe my walk with God is profoundly changed already through this handbook, rife with scripture, awesome testimonies and transformative prayers for the reader!
