Started slow but picked up in pace in Parvaiz’s section. Definitely enjoying more now

Stunning book, full of personality. Loved the nuanced views of different characters from similar lives but different circumstances that have affected them. Lovely writing about existence, meaning, life, death - just the human being.

Loved the flow of the book, no chapters to mirror the continuation on the journey down the road. Ending made me well up with the dad covered in blankets and the boy promising to talk to him. Lots of lovely descriptive sentences, engaging prose.

Took 120 odd pages for everything to click and to really start enjoying the book. Not even in a prudish way, but the repetitive nature of the first 120 pages of sex acts involving the words “chromium” and “pubis” too many times made it a bit of a slog. Really enjoyed the last 60 pages and the conclusion of the story. Interesting musings on human relationship with technology.
