i bet Trump pardons Goddard in the end

almost done with the book and there's finally something happening

i'm begging for something to happen

the last book i tried about acting started with blackface, so we're off to a good start

something that's stood out to me for a while is how matter-of-factly Vladek talks about it all. i'm not smart enough to break it down in these updates though.

also.. a father knowingly throwing himself into the pits of hell so that his daughter won't suffer there alone... gut wrenching

the bad stuff hasn't happened to him yet, and i already started crying.. he's only heard rumblings of what's coming, and i can't comprehend how you could do any of that to another person

completed through chapter 19 and now wait for the the book club lol. if i had to rate it so far, i'd put it at a 3.5/5. i don't expect to be sitting here longing to continue, but i am enjoying it.

there have been some interesting additions and wrinkles that have me enjoying the book more

interesting premise. not hooked yet. we'll see how it goes

is his mom trying to pray the gay away or something?
