It’s like I’m being gently rocked to sleep, it’s all so dreamy and quiet. It’s making me think of what it means to be a story.

The chapter on fecundity was so good

It’s like spoken-word poetry about being so alive amongst other living beings

Already forming the opinion that this needed more editing🙃🙃🙃

It almost feels like the end of a book rather than the beginning of one, everyone spouting off their best bits of wisdom and getting ready for their respective final tasks, but in that sense it’s reading as a classic finale, maybe even giving ATLA finale??

Finally finally finally I just finished my reread of the first four, an undertaking that took I don’t even know how long, 6 months, a year?? But that’s okay journey before destination babyyyy!!!

Gorgeous, sorrowful, dreamy, I’m feeling quite spellbound

😬😒

The intrigue would be good if the info dumps weren’t crazyyyyy am I truly supposed to be filing away 12th century Vanger lineage

Was once my fav book, excited to see how it holds up🫣

“Somehow, through sheer luck, Cain made it through to the bell.”

Y’all wtf why don’t we get to experience the things listed as canonically interesting in this universe, it’s Cain vs. Ruko and we’re just completely glossing over the first part of their confrontation??

A little less convinced by the world-building as we progress, also the combat trials amongst these great contenders are unbelievably boring/kind of glossed over?

“You never touch a Visitor’s food, even tiny children know this” and somehow this has escaped professional assassin Cain’s attention

“Foxes need to say something funny when they day” lol give me a break

Still, enjoying the ride so far

I just can’t think of one reason why Theo blindly hangs on to Boris’s every word, like there’s going along with a plan you don’t know the specifics of, and then there’s what Theo’s doing which is some weird form of imprinting that at this stage in his life and the time they’ve spent apart literally makes no sense

Good but depressing shit, kind of a slog at this point, even re-entry of Boris was not the shot of adrenaline I thought it would be

This author’s voice is so frank and cheekyyyyyy

They’re American shad fishermen dammit

Just got to Poems

This book feels like my friend
