if i had a penny for every time i accidentally read a book about porn addiction i’d have three pennies which isn’t a lot but just enough to raise personal concerns

I love the intensity of the book. I love how the book revolved around the presumed culprit once she figured out who it was. I hate how we basically are both the narrator and the culprit. It makes me feel ashamed and weird in a way. It's all so poetic and it hits hard. I think what she did with "toé" is really smart. The entire thing is refined but Simon is "familiar", crasse.

I like the colour palette. It gives an awkward vibe to the whole ordeal, which goes hand in hand with the constant naked feet lol. I like how straight forward the narrator is, but i must say the entire thing is really immature. maybe im too insensitive, but a breakup after eight months of dating is not the end of the world. She seems like she might do so, but i must say; she needs to work on her self esteem.

It's so light and fluffy and cute. It feels like you're inside the brain of a kid retelling how he perceived their mom getting sick. I do wonder what she has. Beautiful metaphors and the illustrations are awesome. I do have to say, the book is do thick that it ruins how pliable the pages are, making it hard to enjoy the full thing. Which i could color the whole thing.

I'm not sure how i felt about the end, although it wasn't a fictional story per say. I just felt like they could've dived into what the future would've been like. I felt like the preface introduced the idea that life was different in the future, that kids, like the ones from our time, had taken over with manifestation. I liked the little exercises and word banks though.

I can't help but pause after every sentence. If teenagers are to read one book this year, this should be that. It's something i'll have to ponder over on my own, but how did an entire generation forget how strong they can be when they come together? Social media? Artificial intelligence? Being scared to interact socially will be our downfall, speaking up could save us. It's saved us before.
