I can tell this is going to be a very interesting book.

Finally, I arrive at the title essay!

Interesting so far. Reminds me of some books I read in college.

I started the year with this book, and now I'm ending it with it :) I think I'll enjoy it more upon reread, since I know what's happening! I really love the physical, tangible aspect of magic in this book, especially the "speaking to the dead via VHS recordings" part. Incredibly cool.

The first time It has any dialogue after it speaks to Georgie in the beginning is the library scene with Ben, right? I'm going to have to reread that bit, very cool decision to not give any additional dialogue to the clown itself until halfway through the book

We see It again!

It's OK so far.

Is some of his writing cheesy? Sure. But the man can write a pov like no one else. Love that we only see Pennywise once (so far), we feel the terror the adults feel remembering...something, and then the flashbacks start...

I've missed you, old friend

I dreamt of "At the Mountains of Madness" last night. I guess that means it's good. I really like his writing style, it's very conversational and not too dated. It feels modern. It's easy for me to envision and see myself in that world of 100 years ago, if that makes sense. There's no gap

Reading this really brings me back to reading the Redwall series, it's cozy and accessible in the same way! And it's teaching me a lot about history. How cool.

I like this one already.
