As I read through this I find myself thinking about what the author is trying to say. There have been a number of scenes that have felt kind of purposeless or written in a way that immediately relieves any emotion that you would expect to feel. I have thought about putting the book down, thinking that i’m just not the target audience.
But then every now and then even something as much as a single sentence hits me

The writing is very descriptive, clearly trying to express the fine details of each characters emotions. But it’s also kind of boring, i feel like it takes a while to get through each page.

I like that the author works animal facts into the story regularly
