i thought at the beginning of the story, there must be a reason theyre bringing up agamemnon's brutal murder at the hands of aigisthos (lured into a merry feast and killed) so many times, and mentioning about how cruel and awful it was... and then odysseus conspired to slaughter all the suitors while they were enjoying dinner. very fun ironic spin, the poem really is about hospitality through and through

ditto on the previous entry, just not sure which edition of this book to log where itll tell me my correct percentage through based on page #. i finished the story and have yet to start the “homer’s words” chapter
