Haven’t picked this back up in a while but I play with this idea of an addiction to drama quite often now after indulging in its theories. I find it presents very subtly in every day life and becomes more glaringly obvious when I choose to look with the frameworks this book suggests.

I only pick this book up when I have to remind myself of the themes of this book. I find it especially helpful when I can feel myself acting irrational but I can’t tell why, and it’s helped me figure out myself and hold sympathy for myself in times when I feel like I’m just all wrong and too much.

I’m finding it a lot easier to relate to Nesta’s struggle as she isn’t as perfect of a lead as Feyre was. Plus, her slow burn with Cassian is a lot more satisfying to read about. They seem like more authentic characters than Rhysand and Feyre; I’m enjoying this look inside the minds of characters who aren’t meant to be the picture of perfection (ex. the perfect male and perfect self-insert female).
