I’ve lost the plot

Her inner monologue is wackadoodle. She just spins herself up and imagines worst case scenarios. Then justifies making the worst, least honest decisions. Then cries and acts surprised when her choices get her into trouble.

Oh my god she’s so annoying. She’s literally just the meme of wedging a stick in your own bike tire and then crying when you fall off your bike. She lied about her progress on her book. She lied to her parents. She won’t tell Wale about his friend. And now she’s freaking out that someone expects to read the book she lied about writing.

Having a rough time with the initial assault and this coercive free use setup

This writing is so cheesy. Like an after school special where teens are the audience, because these do not sound like college students. And why is he basically proposing marriage to her?

Super triggered by chapter 6 so I’m going to reevaluate.

Ok he is gonna get on my nerves fast. What do you mean you picked your colleges classes at random bc you’re maybe dyslexic and didn’t want to take the time to have a conversation?? You’ve got to make better choices.

I think my issue with FMC is all of her anxieties are self-imposed. Her family doesn’t actually think she’s not good enough, she made that up in her head.

The ex from like 3 years ago needs to be let go! He sucked. But you’re from the same hometown and don’t need to go into a panic when you see him. It’s like he tried to kill you.

I want to fast forward through all the sex scenes, they make me cringe so hard. I think it’s the narrator’s voice.

Ready to DNF bc what do you mean she took a work meeting and then he went through her phone, yelled at her, basically kicked her out of her home, and ignored her for weeks. But she’s equally at fault bc she didn’t consider that her bf would be absolutely irrational and assume she was cheating despite knowing her for more than a decade

Him jumping to cheating is ridiculous

When did anyone fall in love? Let alone the guys with each other? I’m not even convinced they knew each other before the start of this season.
