Huge jump since last time, but love how Niko and Bran are starting to slowly open up, especially Bran. He’s seeming more calm and controlled ironically. Excited to see how things progress.

That makeup scene was so cute and felt so soft while reading it. Very unexpected, but also loved that.

The writing is so interesting. Like the way the story jumps around. Although it’s a tad hard to follow, at least for me, I’m enjoying the story and the descriptions. I also like the nicknames of the characters.

HE MAD! I love the text chain blocks between Niko and Bran. That was so entertaining and it feels like you get to be more in the scene with the characters to me

First off, SEXY! Also, why does Bran keep leaving?! Like just stay with Niko dude omg.

Bran playing SO hard to get, but lowkey love it. Also, THAT scene…immaculate. Niko freaking out has me so intrigued though.

Things are getting spicy!!! And now it’s Nikolai’s turn and I know he’s gonna be wild.

I love the way Nikolai just shows up out of nowhere and Brandon just lets things happen. Also, Nikolai giving him his shirt before Brandon goes into the lockerroom!!

I love when a story finally starts to come together! I’m so ready for the next chapter

Why did Brandon have to come with Glyn? Also, I can’t believe that Nikolai punched Brandon, but that’s what he gets for calling him disgusting again.

I love the persistence of Nikolai. He’s so dead set on Brandon, yet Brandon is trying so hard to ignore him

I love how Nikolai just keeps pestering Brandon, but Brandon seems to kind of let it slide. I’m so excited to continue reading.

Jumped right into the heat of the story with Bran in the initiation. Now Niko’s having a crisis with his cousins lol. I love how his family is like PLEASE DONT STRIP 😭

Dain genuinely is so annoying. He really thought Violet was safer with him? That’s a wild opinion.

Right when they’re trying to have a good time, now they’re getting attacked???

I’m so confused why Xaden showed up at Rhiannon’s family’s house. Also, love how Mira is pushing them to be real warriors and not text-book idiots.

That heist was such a great scene. I’m just excited to see the aftermath of it.

She was SO close to getting rid of Jack! The fact that oranges were his downfall is kinda funny. As for Dain, can he please just shut up and leave her alone. He’s gotten so annoying. Xaden is growing on me though.

Idk where I left off, but this girl needs to get a grip. She’s getting herself targeted, Liam is a baby sitter, now she might be channeling, she’s obsessed with Xaden. She needs a break.

RIP Amber Mavis, but she got what she deserved. Sucks for her dragon tho. Also, Liam seems chill. I hope he’s in for the long run.

I left myself on a cliffhanger and I now I have to go to work?? This is so unfair. How did they get into Violet’s room?! Is freezing time Andarna’s signet power? Xaden was the one busting the door down right? So much is happening.

Sawyer’s metallurgy signet sounds so cool, almost like a metal bender in Avatar the Last Airbender/ Lenten dog Korra. I’m curious to see what everyone else will end up getting as their signet.

The twists and turns that this book is taking are keeping on the edge of my seat. I have yet to be bored this entire book. Although I’m still trying to figure out this Violet - Xaden relationship, I’m so glad she’s not leaning towards Dain, he’s SO annoying.

Thank God she doesn’t want Dain anymore. He was getting on my last nerve. Literally so annoying and wouldn’t break a rule to save her. Like Riorson said, not even BENDING the rules a little, after they’ve known each other for that long.

So much has happened that I couldn’t stop to update. Homegirl really pulled one of the best dragons, not to mention TWO, and she got revenge (kinda) on Jack! I’m only about half way and this book is phenomenal.

YEEES, homegirl beat the Gauntlet, AND she stuck it to that bitch Amber. Love how Xaden was like, sucks to suck to Amber. Violet put her mind to work and showed those losers up.

Rip to Aurelie. Caden is starting to grow on me. Even though he seems like he’s an asshole, it’s very conflicting with the fact that he’s also very giving of information and teaching others. Dain is getting really annoying. Like I get where he’s coming from, but Violet can make her own decisions.

Honestly this river scene was the best so far. I love that Xaden kinda showed some respect to Violet. Plus, his power is cool af! Kinda reminds me of Shikamaru from Naruto almost.

I seriously can’t wait for Jack to have his ass handed to him, and I really hope it’s by Violet or Rhiannon. Being a mender also sounds like such a cool power to have too.
