I'm not even one fifth of the way through and I'm already bawling my eyes out. I'm not okay with this!

I don't really like where this book is going romance-wise, it feels like Queen of Shadows all over again and even though it worked there, it doesn't really work in this book. It's like a 180 degree turn from book 1 :(

This is better than Looking For Alaska. There. I've said it.

Spotted an error with the book, you don't use an otoscope to examine the eye (it's for the ear), that would be an opthalmoscope. I'm such a nerd.

Listening to this being narrated by Anne Hathaway - best decision ever! It's almost like watching the movie. :D

This book reads like a children's tale - slow, methodical with a tinge of magic and nostalgia of days gone by. I'm already adoring this book.

Now I kind of want to read a relatively fast-paced historical romance! This is amazing writing but so slow...

This book is breaking my heart page by page. I keep having to put it down and read some romance in order to mentally prepare myself for more of this heart-wrenching novel.

It has such a promising blurb and the start is intriguing enough, but then it just stumbles, then falls and then the ending is just disappointing. I don't think I'll be continuing on with this series. :(
