I’m loving this book!! The descriptions of Egypt are so vivid. I feel like I’m truly in the story with the protagonist.

Chapter 2 details the connection between Israel’s
2000 and 2006 invasions of Lebanon with their attacks on Gaza in 2008. Israel deliberately targeted civilian populations as deterrence. Dr Finkelstein also highlights Israel’s consistent antagonization of Hamas (who arose as a legitimate negotiator for a two-state solution in the public international eye in 2006) to prevent the creation of a Palestinian state.

Reading anything about Palestine is never easy. In the words of the great Dr. Norman Finkelstein, "It makes your heart scream."
