When Howl said about the Witch of Waste: “She is in some ways a very sad lady, very unloved. Every man in Ingary is scared stiff of her. You ought to know how that feels, Sophie dear.” Sophie goes on to open her mouth in indignation, well so did I! I gasped out loud! The disrespect Howl!

Another quote I enjoyed: “On the other hand, it is quite a risk to spank a wizard for getting hysterical about his hair.”

Fav quote so far: “She watched Howl being restlessly busy in order to hide his discontent. That was something Sophie understood rather well.”

So far pretty intriguing. I’m curious to find out how the wedding will go with the contrast between modern and traditional practices and beliefs.

Im so teary eyed reading this book. At the same time im laughing because of the genuineness of marin and Mabel’s friendship. Because of Marin’s honesty on how she’s not sure how she’s dealing with all that she’s lost.
