So many good quotes I can’t choose

I love Miranda and I think she might be me

The character of Julia and Winston’s behavior concerning women in general has made this book incredibly difficult not to be disgusted by. Very obviously written by a man. Apparently every woman’s chest size needs commented on for legitimately no reason.

This is actually becoming quite stupid

I just started this and was feeling a bit bored by the detail of the writing, but then I was hit in the face with this amazing excerpt. Orwell puts the male reader face to face with the perversion behind their misplaced hate for women that won’t sexually engage them.

“He hated her because she was young and pretty and sexless…there was only the odious scarlet sash, aggressive symbol of chastity.”

When will this just end
