Cool world. Not too invested, really just want to get to end to find out what it’s a bout. Something about the game being a board game type makes me uninterested?

Imma be so forreal. Idk why but this book is hard to read for me. Feels pretty sporadic. The words have only fuzzily painted the world in my mind.

“at the beginning of the game, there are no variations…there are nine million variations after the first six moves. and after eight moves there are two hundred and eighty-eight billion different positions. and those possibilities keep growing. there are more possible ways to play a game of chess than the amount of atoms in the universe…there is no right way to play; there are many ways. in chess, as in life.”

still don’t know how this book will end. it’s been a great journey, but she doesn’t seem satisfied in any of these other lives. something tells me we aren’t meant to see the other lives, they will only be satisfying if you’ve lived the journey to that destination. something also tells me that there are just things in life that happen that we all have to cope with… no attachments

funny that i marked this as read already, and rated it a one star haha.

anyways, this books comes back at a great time. when i feel regret of losing someone in my life and on the brink of losing my job with a product i’ve helped to build for the last 2 years.
the themes right now are really to let go. i’m really curious of how this book will end… as i am curious of the next step i will take

so far i’m really enjoying it. it feels like im not used to books like this, im taking it slow as it is building. im excited because i really enjoyed her monk and robot series.

at the end of pg 54 i am feeling this outward look at humans and this expanded awareness on how unique we are. it can easily be forgotten on the experience of being human, the intricacies, and the phases of life we go through.
