I started this yesterday, as is proper, so that I could read "It is the first day of November..." on the first day of November. This book never fails to make me hungry for apple cake and lumpy hot chocolate. And, of course, sticky November cakes.

The audiobook narrator is spectacular.

Absolutely loving this book.

I'm not usually a big fan of contemporary romance, but Jaye Elliot is such a talented writer that I can't help but enjoy this one!

Made it to the New Testament! So far a pretty meh retelling of the Bible, unfortunately, which is making it extra hard to muddle through. Somebody please explain why I'm reading two 850-page books at the same time...

Excellent book, but it's taking me way too long to get through (it's 800+ pages).

I am so in love with this book.

Ironically, the first time I tried reading it, I so thoroughly disliked it that I gave up partway through. Definitely worth a second attempt.

Still reading this one... it's taking a while.

There are times when I feel like I'm reading text straight out of the Bible for pages at a time, which isn't a bad thing except this is supposed to be a novel, so that makes it a little dry. But I'm reading about David now, and this part is much more engaging than the rest of the book so far.

Rereading one of my all-time favorite middle-grade series, because I'm also rewatching the (excellent) show based on it. Cheesy but wonderful.

I love rereading books and rediscovering why I love them so much. I'm always afraid they won't be as good as I remember them to be, and then they exceed my expectations. Like this one.

I am mildly addicted to these books... If you have even the slightest interest in chick lit, definitely check out this series! The protagonists range from young adults to middle-aged, and they're highly relatable, even though I have little in common with any of them.

Listening to the audiobook for this re-read. Very good so far!

Trying out audiobooks again... So far, I'm loving it! Jim Dale does the voices so well.

Michelle Isenhoff's books are so addicting! If I had the time, I could devour this in one sitting.

Finally met up with Frodo and Sam again! I forgot that this book doesn't alternate between them and the rest of the fellowship like the movie does.

This one isn't capturing my interest so far, but I have only been reading it in snatches.

Love love love this book. Perfect late October read. (Rereading.)

Well this is delightfully addicting. And wonderfully inspiring.
