It eas okay definitely got better towards the end once I got used to Jeff Lindsey’s writing style. I can see it being like the Saxon chronicles were i find the first-ish books kind of hard for me to get into and then I like get attached !!

It is a lot more obvious early on just how much Dexter relies on deb and her love for him in this book than it is on the show and how much he needs to feel connected and keep that connection to ‘being human’

I don’t really have any feeling towards book deb yet (I did adore show deb) but I do like the change that she is smart enough to recognise something is different about Dexter
