I hadn't realised this was a GRRM style of narrative.
Just like with GRRM, there are characters that I want to throttle.
It's often dull and tedious, I didn't start reading a book about magical ships to get stuck listening to a grandmother not be able to manage the family finances or an insufferable and vapid 12 y/o girl stomp her foot about not being able to dress like a prostitute.
24 hours in tho, can't stop now.

Well, I've listened to about an hour of this ~5 hour book (on 2x speed) and... meh.
As I am not Christian the bible references and churchy stuff make me :/, but I could get around that...
But actually /tell/ me something, and not just tell me over and over that you're going to tell me something, and then not. The seemingly endless rambling and ramping up is just annoying filler. This book is filled with text clutter.

I've listened to about two hours of the ~20 book, and it is very strange. It is obviously the recounting of a dream, with all the nonsensical things that you would expect to happen in a dream, happening.
It's a rather long book to be this much of a trip, so I'm not sure that I'll finish it.

When I first saw this book in Hoopla, I thought I was going to hate what it was, and I mostly honestly clicked on it just to see if it was as bad as the title suggested.
...but that's not the case, because it's a book about a gay boy that is moving and just doesn't want to have the gay label anymore.
I'm not sure how I'll like it, but I hope that he will come to terms with being out and not just a label, eventually.

So yesterday's reading was all sads, today's reading was all rage. SO MUCH RAGE.

Today's reading has consisted of GRRM merrily stabbing me in the feels. T_T

I have to wonder at the choices these characters make, though I have enjoyed the book in it's way.

I wasn't expecting to end up having Jaime become a favorite character.

Loki came back a bit ago and things are so much more entertaining!
Totes amused that he did this when Thor had no powers, which of course Loki took as a great time to go mess with him even though he was supposed to stay in Asgard, which caused Balder and Sif to also go to Midgard even though they were supposed to stay... Causing Odin to be like WTF IS WRONG WITH ALL OF YOU GOD POWERS FOR NOBODY

While I do think that Sansa has been through a lot and has been made into a more sympathetic character, I still don't like her. This last scene reminds me of how awful I thought she was earlier in the series.

I'm sad because there's only been one small bit with Loki in it so far.

At least Sif is more interesting than Jane.

I feel like GRRM and Moffat should be bffs. xD
