i just read about how frank and the other troops were waiting around for the turks to come then they got ready for war.

the story is about a lady she got invited to a ball but she didnt have enough money to buy jewels so she borrowed a necklace from her friend who is rich then when she wanted to return it she lost it so then she worked for ten years to get the money to buy a new one and give it back to her then her friend told ther that it wasent even real.

the people mining died including franks dad and someone called his horse daisy ugly and frank got offended so he was scaring the people with his knife otten made then then they were oiling there saddles and bridles.

they arrive in Egypt and they see animals being abused and they get and then frank acts all smart then he finds the water in the sand then he dose for an assignment

frank and his dad got on the ship to go sail and fight turks and along the way horses were dieing and getting throwen overboared and frank was sleeptalking about an oinentment that the doctor was talking about and that was because he was scared to go to war.

frank gets ready for the army and before he leaves he gets a lettet from joan then after that they do to the parade before they leave then franks dads horse gets injuried and he cand take him to the arm.

frank and his dad both go tot he go to the doctor and the army poeple so that they can join the army and before they go frank wrote a letter to joan .

the chapter i just read about is how frank wanted to impress the girl he liked and how he got i white feather which means the army want him too join the force .

frank saw in the news paper about people volunteering in the army and he asked his dad so many times his dad got fed up of him asking so he just agreed for him to got to arm and when his dad sent him back he saw a farmer trying to shoot a dog and he tried to stop it and the dog died bu his dad was proud of him that he took on a man twice his size.

frank talks with his dad about how he wants to join the army and then meets up with Joan at the chemist and he has a crush on her and he wants to tell her but he is to nervous because his mum is around.
