Now that I am almost done, I’m really starting to feel the depth of Wallace’s struggle between his childhood wonder and the reality of adult life. The way Wells blurs the lines between memory, fantasy, and regret is honestly gripping. It keeps me thinking—was the door real, or just a metaphor for everything we leave behind as we grow?
