I think I struggle with female characters that are bad and crude with no justification. So I am awaiting justification. But maybe that is a me issue…

I’ve read reviews of people saying this book is slandering Irish Catholics and the IRA, but I am finding it to be quite the opposite. I’ve found it, inspirational to say the least. The violence is horrendous, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t inspired by the young people who joined the IRA and were some of the most radical against the oppressive government. Unfortunately relatable in 2026.
