I love the format of the text being letters. Pamela quells her parents worries, but the grey area is that letters are often one sided and concealed, letting people know as much as the writer will allow. I’m too early in to make assumptions, but you can see that her life is dictated by morality and reputation (as noticed by personification of words like Danger etc).
