Jason Stanley worked in a slew of examples of how fascist tactics were used in the past to control the female population, create inhumane images of enemies, and change the truth of history as to soothe the many failings of a country.

Probably the most sour discovery for me was the fact that slogans like "Drain the Swamp", "Lock her up", and the like were pulled from the ideas of Hitler's Mein Kampf. That kinda sucks

The opening does a great job of displaying how easy it is to slide into fascist schemes through the uses of colorful, mythical memories about a nation that are far from truth.
