Incredibly helpful for learning the evangelical-military grammar utilized by the population of focus in my research. While Johnson’s overwhelmingly revealing insights do not make me any less terrified to begin this ethnographic journey (tomorrow!!!), I do feel, to stay on theme, armored. I think I will be reading this on a monthly basis until the thesis is complete.
