Kindness
1. Feelings of compassion AND motives of our hearts
2. The resulting behavior that is intended for the improvement of another person behavior.
The viable and invisible goodness of kindness. I already like this book.

This book is definitely scratching the surface for those that may have grown up in a financially literate household under God’s ruling principles. BUT I urge you to still read. Truth is truth. The chapter today applied to a completely non finical part of my life and I found myself convicted. Again, truth is still truth.

I’m very excited about this. Especially in audiobook as an English ballad is meant to be read out loud (& by the author 🤩). Susanna Clarke did a wonderful forward and even highlighted the Christ types we will spot. I did fall asleep on round 1. I have a cold, pardon me. Round 2, I have tea at the ready with honey and beautiful red blanket to keep me warm. Onward.

I can already tell this is about to be so good. I’ve teared up once.
The professional advice I heard that was most helpful was “Trauma hasn’t been categorized in your brain yet. So when it is brought up, your brain panics and says, “WE HAVE NOT DEALT WITH THIS YET. HELP.”” That makes grace and mercy abound all the more for those that are hurt. Don’t pile on while they try to create categories.

Even if you never “read” (ahem, for me, listen) to the rest of this book, past the forward, Sinclair B. Ferguson’s kind and gentle words are honey to the soul. His personal relation, or lack there of, in the depiction of Psalm 23 children’s books highlight a real world battle we face with any Bible story. It is not so,that we are too removed to cling hold of our Savior and use scripture as our foundation.

Every economics class should have to read this. If anything, you can disagree and learn how to argue well (against a REALLY solid argument).
