Again so slow, I completely forgot how slow the last one was. But trying to get through

I don’t like the random Sloan Kettering chapters it throws me out of the fantasy so skip them

Honestly it’s so interesting but I don’t love the writing. It is a bit hard to follow and I certainly do not like the fact that Blanche’s dialogue is written as it would sound. It’s also a bit hard to imagine thought that’s not something I usually do - I think some of the attempted imagery is a bit too random/ hard to follow.

I wish there were less stories about the past and more about what everyone is doing now, some just feel unnecessary which I hate to say bc I looooved the series

The writing is not amazing I’m not sure what she is saying sometimes which I guess is a reflection of how Haymitch is thinking but I think without using nonsensical words and not finishing sentences after having coherent phrases prior is just either lazy or unnecessary

I’m not sure what it is, maybe it’s bc I just finished the main Lunar Chronicles book, but it’s not as exciting and alluring as the first book. The story is still enticing to the point where I don’t want to put the book down, but it just feels lacking a bit. I’m also waiting for Lydia to become truly evil but I’m enjoying the morally gray character too

And the fact that it’s her dad she gets ‘sold to’I love a full circle

I love how Cress is just naively falling for her fantasy man even though Thorne tries his best to be the opposite. But it’s obvious even from when Thorne met her he felt a sense of protection. But then with the trafficking of Lunars in the desert? Insane. I love how Thorne handles the situation.
I also enjoy how Cinder collects people along the way like Jacin. Cinder is a serious person and I enjoy the parallel

I really enjoyed the story until her father died and she became wrathful / resentful & vengeful. But it only lasted a few chapters (3?) before her anger was better refined. She finally was honest with Kiel which really turned my interest back because prior to she was being mean to him for no reason. And at this point, she is working on manipulating the king like a true queen. I am so enjoying this

Very different story, in a little confused about the random italicized memories or something? But I’m halfway through and this far I’ve really enjoyed how unique the story is

The journey to Aurora & then Syrelle’s appearance I really enjoyed

I looooved the first one, ready every word and appreciated the progression of the story and characters. But this one, I thought Lore was more decisive and less leading - for example she and Finn finally get together but she’s like “I’ll have to never see him again because I’m locking my people away FROM EVERYONE”.. girl???? And her complacency for Syrelle for the first 6+ chapters? Maybe 2 sure but 6?? Nah

It’s chapter 4 and she’s still whining about how she wishes Syrelle was faking and wants Asher back… Book one was amazing and had none of this childishness why all of a sudden?? Get over it you have Finn the obvious choice

I’m just confused all of a sudden she had actually seen and touched the fairy kind before?? And the whole changeling backstory is so random and confusing. I don’t mind that she is but the backstory didnt make sense and Effy being timid and kind of annoying already it just feels less like a dramatic reveal but more of an afterthought.

Lore is so self reflective & NORMAL - I do appreciate it. She reacts without excess angst or fear but as a normal person would to danger. Even with Finndryl early in the Wilds, she acts normally with how one would to his attitude without excess or unnecessarily heightened hate. It’s really refreshing

The last book I sad this about I can’t even remember - I don’t want to stop reading. The author has wonderful writing, the perfect mix of dialogue, observation, and world building… I really am enjoying this book!! - also the MC is perfectly normal thus far, she’s not over confident or snarky unnecessarily. The characters and story moves at almost a perfect pace with no annoying withholding

This is literally Hermione & Draco and it’s necessary. I love how simple love story is with a little bit of mystery

Otherwhere was better honestly there is too much in their book to not be a movie instead - as in it’s too much going on. I also am not sure how well the MC is developed, obviously they’re going to get together (too obvious) I just don’t know that the MC has personality other than wanting to protect her sister. But I appreciate that she isn’t always combative
