Can historical romance authors PLEASE all unanimously agree to stop with the ‘exotic sensual kama sutra east’ when describing Asia??? It’s fucking racist as hell. Brown ppl were no more ‘exotic’ and sensual than anyone else. Look at Henry viii fucking anything that moves. Or read James Joyce’s kinky love letters. People had mistresses and orgies and sexy position variety everywhere.

Lately I’ve only been in the mood to re-read my comfort books instead of venturing into the unknown… I’m afraid it’s also mirroring my real life. Lighthearted, didn't take it too serious, enough historical accuracy sprinkled in, chef's kiss. just what I needed! Go read that book babyyy

This book is hilarious so far! exactly what I’ve been looking for for so long! A HR that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I’ve been giggling nonstop. Ugh seriously the answer to my prayers . Plus I read a review that said this author is similar to Danelle Harmon whom I’ve never read but I will read her after this book!
