Everytime I mark a book as read it counts as 'read 3 times'. Even when I set the number to 1 it still changes back to 3. Has anybody else this problem? So far it hasn't messed up my reading challenge at least.

The university library retired some of their books and gave them away for free. I found some books I wanted for a while and one them is even a first edition from 1920!

Azur is starting Die unsichtbare Stadt (The Joshua Files, #1)
A novel written like a blog with each chapter representing a blog entry complete with comment section at the end. Interesting.

I just realised I read my 1000th book (take a few, give a few) last night.

Last night my cat passed away in her sleep. I'm grateful I was spared the duty of taking her to the vet one last time. She was 12 and my companion for almost half my life. She was also my first pet. I'll miss her.

"For countless years I judged there had been no danger of war or solitary violence..."
I was puzzled for a moment, then I remembered this was written in 1895. Oh boy, where you in for a surprise in your near future.

I think I'll have to pause Vorhang/Curtain for a while. Reading about an old and dying Poirot might not be a good idea when I just learned that my cat is terminally ill.
