Finished today. Within a week or so but could’ve finished in one day. Lovely book and very easy read. Says much on determination, willpower and luck. Amongst much else. But in the end he’s still dreaming of lions!

Finish reading some time ago now, alright book. Most interesting aspects were taht toward the end regarding the 60s and counter culture etc.

Holy fucking cheeks and boring - author seems to be portraying a transition to living a modest life as force - a tragedy -attempting to use spontaneous chicken buying in moments of grief as a symbol for hope, where she is several tax brackets lower but still renovating the fuck out of her house? Won’t read anymore of this. author is trying to make smt out of her ‘transformation’ away from riches to modesty. Spoilt.

Paul’s finding so much life in the face of the opposite, his determination to meaning and facing death with integrity is beyond tremendous. The epilogue by his wife really tied it together beautifully and emotionally.

Beautiful book, characters and the development of their characters, largely Jane, is amazing to read through

Quite well written, but can be a bit hard to follow but I recommend sticking with it!! Stan Grant has very emphatic, optimistic, and inspirational viewpoints which serve as being really refreshing to read and think about. Recommend highly.

Easy read in an hour or 2, more kiddy book but still something nice to read
