This book is very interesting to me and challenged the perspective process. Not only in my personal life, but in my spiritual life I find the need/push to change the way I see things. When you are searching for something beyond yourself, you might be driven to your breaking point.

Reading it through for the second time. I appreciate the thought and layout that Clem has used here to unpack what is vital to being a disciple. Image, worship, community, mission, and multiplication are the headlining topics but there is so much more in this book. How are you worshipping God? What bound of modern day idolatry keeps you from a true relationship with the Holy Trinity? Find that freedom in Him alone.

Very interesting on God's pursuit of us and calling to become more than fans, more than followers, to be His disciples.

I've seen the movie 2x and read this book once already. I am reading it again to get a view on Christopher's goal of finding out who he is and what it is he is living for...very stirring take on his life.

Still really studying the examples in Christ's life and praying for some them to take root in my life in new ways.

Have enjoyed this book thus far. Christ models with perfection something that we should strive to be like. Though we will always be broken...He is the only model for contemporary Christian leaders. The stories shared in this book are pretty impactful.

Society deems it necessary to be 100% self-sufficient and tells people that in all forms of media. Mahaney breaks down humility vs. pride and I have been soaking that in. Compelled and moved to say a lot right now...God is in control!
