I'm giving up on this series. None of the characters interest me, nor their relationships. I think the reason book one stood well was because Paolini stayed very close within the typical Hero's Journey, but when he creates his own it only marinates in unnecessary fancy-styled exposition and dialogue that hold barely any plot.
