Halfway through and this seems the real deal. There hasn't been an exemplary modern Alien text since Tim Lebbon's "Out of the Shadows" that I've read, but at 1/3 of the way here this book is an absolute killer for the big geeks of this franchise out there. No contemporary social politics, no 21st century snarks or jokes; just straight-forward, impressive, interesting Alien-based lore. Hope it stays that way.
