I have to take this book slowly. I keep putting it down because it's just so much to take in at once.

I grew up in Indiana, and had heard about this many times. The horrors that happen to this young girl Sylvia Likens at once sickens me and breaks my heart.

Getting a bit easier as I catch on to the dialect.

This is going to take me a bit. The dialect and slang take some getting used to.
