The emotional core is this question: who pays the price for progress, and who gets remembered?

I’m officially hooked! Loving all the different layers in this book, between the family dynamics, the smart psychologist, the hot doctor, and even the young girl under psych evaluation, I can’t put it down. Exactly the kind of story that pulls me right in

Unfortunately, I had to stop reading this book. For like a better words, it was not my jam.

Currently at page 137 (chapter 19). The story is starting to feel a little wordy here. The last several chapters could’ve easily been wrapped into one without losing much…nothing significant would’ve been missed.

So far, this book has started out with a bang! I feel terrible for the main character, yet at the same time I can relate to her on some level—especially with the self-sabotage that seems to surface in the first three chapters. I’m eager to see how the story unfolds. It already feels like a page-turner, and I have a feeling I’ll be finishing it by the end of the weekend.

Currently loving this book! Not sure if it’s because I started reading it on the beach that it was written about, or not…. But enjoying it so far. Let’s see how I feel on this journey.

My attention is officially, albeit delayed, captured.

Easy, cute read.

I loved this quote on page 187. “When we see a clear road to being a better person, we ought to take it..”

After reading half, I can’t shake the feeling of dread that washes over me as I attempt to turn the next. I truly appreciate and value the tragedy that this family has had to endure. The frequent shifts between different family members’ perspectives make it challenging for me to connect the dots. I often find myself lost in the transitions, struggling to keep track of who’s who (despite the family tree )
