This is bad. Like atrociously bad. Dinniman can't write. He needs an editor who isn't too scared or indifferent to trim his awful prose and endless rhetorical padding: "it appears that," (x1000) "utilizes the capabilities to," "skirting the Western outskirts?!?"

Plus the constant introduction of random names to force depth, because Dinniman can't write people, he can write games. It just isn't working, might DNF

Using extremely short chapters so you can try to make every other page a "dramatic" revelation gets old

Starts so strong but completely jumps the shark midway with some outrageously out of character developments. Just feels like Whitaker is trying to tie the beginning to the end and is stumbling through it. It's actually really distracting!
