Tis everything I could ever want to know about the development of our understanding of the atom, told in great detail. I’ve only just gotten to the part where the neutron is discovered. This thing is dense, but doesn’t read like a textbook. It’s written like a narrative. The author goes into detail of the personalities and descriptions of the physicists, I can imagine them in my head clearly.
