It’s bad but at least it was quick. Now it’s cringy bad decisions time and I am not sure I can go on.

I hate the audiobook narrator’s depiction of all the women as whining all the time.

I’m completely convinced that Kimberly Farr’s narration is at least 75% of my enjoyment of Elizabeth Strout’s books.

I don’t love the Lively Bones format. The reader gets all of the anxiety of watching characters get into bad situations without even the satisfaction of solving a mystery. I did think it was self-aware to put a reference to Lovey Bones in the book.

I am trying to not waste my time on books I don't enjoy. But I'm also trying to read banned books. This one has me torn. I don't want to read this.

This book needs all the trigger warnings.

I hate all the characters. I don’t expect this to get better, but can’t bring myself to quit so far along. I feel like I should finish and try another in the series because Love Medicine was so much better.

I really hate the third person changing perspective and calling one of the perspectives “mom”.

Hey it's Christmas now, we're fulling in Hallmark movie territory.

This is so bad. I'm not sure if I'll ever finish. Getting snarky here: reading some other reviews, it seems that Ms Moyes has clued into the demographic who identify themselves as Book Lovers. This demographic is invested in loving books and libraries and will rave over any book about books or libraries regardless of bad it actually is.

I heard this takes a while to get into. I'm far enough along that I don't want to quit, but I'm still really confused why this is being called a thriller. I don't think there is a bad guy.
