Overall, this book talks about consent, asexaulity, ace experiences, aphobia, and the heteronormative world that we live in. It was an interesting and informative read. I definitely recommend to people who want to learn more about Asexuality.

The fake marriage of the two main characters ends up turning into something more. The book ends with them getting married.

The main characters seem to be more relaxed and not as agitated around one another anymore. They also seem to have some of the same interests leading them to become closer.

This book is about a fairy and a beast man who are fighting against who will get the human child they found in a forest left alone. Both of them end up passing as husbands in their human forms.

Chen talks to an asexual person who dresses more scandalously and how she is seen as provocative to others who are not asexual. She has had a hard time with people denying her asexuality due to the way she dresses. It seems like a lot of people, at least now, seem to look at clothes and just assume someone is something based on the clothes that they wear, without truly knowing a person.

Chen talks about there being a lack of asexual representation for people who are not white. There is only a little bit of representation, and with that, it is mainly white people who are seen as ace. In this section, Ace Chen talks to many different people who are not white and who have negative experiences with the term Asexual and Asexuality because of its lack of inclusion.

A new topic has been brought up in the asexual community. Chen talks about how the asexual community is heavily whitewashed due to the beginning of the label. She goes into detail about how the asexual community has been whitewashed and her feelings regarding it. I had not thought that sexualities could be whitewashed, but after learning from Angela Chen and her feelings, I feel more open to learning about it.

Chen talks about Lauren Jankowski (a writer) and her experiences with her asexuality.

At the start of this non-fiction novel, Chen talks about her own personal struggles with finding a label that fits her. She also interviewed other asexual people to talk about their experiences.

From Jeremy's perspective, we find out that Jean is Jeremy's type. He finds Jean attractive. We are also introduced to Barkbark Von Barkenstien, who is the cardboard cutout that Jeremy has at Cat and Laila's place because he isn't allowed to have a dog at home due to his mother's allergies. But the girls aren't allowed animals on the property either.

Jean is now at USC with Jeremy. He is still skeptical of how everything is going to go now, being in a completely different environment.

Jean is in a hospital room. He is freaking out. Turns out he doesn't remember his breakdown. He is there with Renee by his side. He continues to ask himself, "If I am not a Raven, who am I? ". He has spent his whole life on his mantra, "My name is Jean Moreau. My place is at Evermore (the Ravens). I belong to the Moriyamas" (the yakuza). He is now in a depressive state, trying to find who he is.

Jean finds out about Riko being dead. Renee had told him not to look at TV the next morning after the Foxes' win, and he had respected her enough not to. However, Jeremy, who is unaware that Jean does not know, gives both Jean and Kevin consolation. That makes Jean upset, and he, still being injured, goes on a rampage of breaking things.

Jean is watching the TV, and Riko (the big bad) is hovering over Neil, who has fallen on the court due to exhaustion. Riko holds up his exy racket and almost hits Neil, but Andrew breaks Riko's arm with his bigger goalie racket.

The Foxes win the exy game against the Ravens. Jean is watching this and is upset at his old team for getting beaten. But he is also impressed with the Foxes' ability to beat the Ravens.

Jean is in the dorms at the Foxhole court, and he is alone in Neil's dorm. Abby (the school nurse) made him move from her house so that he was around people. He searches through the dorm, but he is also heavily hurt, so he is trudging through the dorm room. He makes his home on the couch. Kevin made sure to leave his computer there for Jean so he could look at the Trojans' old exy games too.

The Foxes are playing against Jean's old team. Jean doubts their exy skills. This is a huge plot point in the book.

Jean is finally getting more comfortable with going to a new college. He is still struggling mentally, though. He is having a hard time coming to terms with his old team abusing and destroying him. But the longer he is away from them, the better he gets. He is going to a new team that is the complete opposite of his old team, and is slowly making new friendships.
This book is chaotic, funny, and heartbreaking.

The Sunshine Court starts with the main character, Jean Moreau, the narrator. It starts with him not knowing where he is, he describes a bedroom he has never been in before, away from his college campus. He is scared and needs to get out of wherever he is before something happens to him.
I love Jean already, and through his narration, you can tell that he is traumatized from the school he just got taken from.
