Golly i have genuinely not picked up a book in the last two months life has been running me over 👯‍♀️

Picked this one up finally and it is taking me like four minutes per page to understand this author but yeah trying to rebuild my reading muscles. Maybe i have adhd i have to get up every four minutes to pee or something

book five shows that “war and peace” is a contradictory and often simple choice for and by those without direct personal stake in their liveliness and material pleasures.

Despite a completely different world and time period, ramy and robins experiences of having to socialize as the other is so near and close to my heart. I can FEEL the anxiety and dubois’ 😛 double consciousness 🤏🏼

It makes me smile and laugh when I read because someone has so beautifully articulated social narratives so distant in fantasy genres.
