this actually might be one of the favorites up by volume 4 and 5 bci am LOVING seeing maomao in her element.

since i got hooked the pacing has been excellent!! atp apothecary diaries really rewards the reader that sticks around bc 9 volumes worth plot and character development that still feels satisfying to read get me to push to the next arc more than anything else. i cant believe there are still so many to go!!

A small aside to complain that I am sooo tired of the men in this story lmfao. I was hopeful rin, fresh of the heels of the major betrayal of book 2, would want to take control of her fate more - she even explicitly says so! And even though souji makes good points - it feels extremely similar to the scenes with nezha. Pointing xyz out to rin that should be so 'obvious.'
