Our girl Alice brings me back all the feelings I’ve had and have while I’m still in the academic field. And it triggers every single emotion and thought towards the weight that academic pressure puts on me.

So we have academic rivalry and clever comebacks and a lot of references to classical literature 🤓

So the book starts pretty amazing the scenery is in Florida and the FMC is surfing or running on the beach, stumbles and she runs into a guy Jamie who is the MMC and in that instant moment be falls for him. It’s like love at first sight but she doesn’t communicate her feelings to him. I think this is the moment from which the plot is about to be more interesting.
