the dialogue is just so basic. im having a hard time likin g the characters or finding the charming.. they just arent oozing sexua chemistry.

who the hell is Olivia and Lucas and why do I care? this book goes nowhere. There is no building to a climax, just the introduction of characters one after another.

Almost a quarter of a way into this book and I still feel like it's just the beginning. Is there a plot?

Ugh, I'm just not interested in Paul or Vincent. I guess it's just an introduction but I'm not drawn into the story. This guy is too emo.

Good start so far. Love the oil/water dynamic. Refreshing to read a decently written m/m story with an actually plot!

Only 3% in and I already find it repetitive.. I get it, Darcy, you need to marry a respectable woman. Also, writing style leaves a lot to be desired. Too much telling, not enough showing. Its full of Darcy did this. Then Darcy did that.

I think I'm going to take a break from this book. I honestly can't stand very many characters in this book. I can't tell how old they are. they seem like 15 year olds but they go down to the docks to get whores. laia is so annoying. I cannot stand her.

story is picking up finally. I hate first person writing. laia is so annoying. I hope this is on purpose to show character development. Elias' storyline is much more interesting.

why do these characters sound like teenagers? are they supposed to be in their 20s? teens? the way they talk about raping and pillaging seem mature but their thought process is very immature.
