I'm re-reading after being inspired by Maureen Dowd's delicious editorial in the NY Times entitled "Attention Men: Books are Sexy". https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/02/op...
There she says she can escape (Trump) by re-reading "Our Mutual Friend" and falling back in love with the indolent barrister Eugene Wrayburn. That was all I needed to decide to re-open "Our Mutual Friend".

I'm rereading this after watching the series on AppleTV. When I first read the Silo series it was a very long time ago and they were among the most popular titles in the "Free" section of the Kindle store! I was impressed at the time and even more impressed as I reread. Now as executive producer of the TV series, Howey has come a long way! Here's to independent publishing!
