Nick is doing his introduction.. I wanted to reread this. I remember reading this freshman year but I wanted to see what I thought about it now as an adult.

Why are her coworkers avoiding her? 🤔 Also it seems like there isn’t much supervision for the “patients” they come and go to her sessions by themselves…

It’s interesting how at this facility Ted the director insist on calling them patients instead of inmates. Later on author goes on to tell Nora his theory that Ted might be a pedo too because he tries really hard to bring a lot of convicted childmos to his facility. Also interested how Nora wants Ted to call her doctor but insists that auther calls her Nora..

God for how interesting this books plot is, it’s VERY dense… there are a lot of moving parts. It’s been difficult for me to keep everything straight. But it kind of reminds me of maybe how people feel with all the ice raids..

For how disturbing everyone says this book is… the first chapter is really easing you into the story, still disturbing, as it starts out with the scene of her as a child and the experience she had with her older 17 year brother assaulting the neighbors 9 year old daughter. This seems like the reason for the main characters actions later on in her life.

I honestly don’t think I can finish this book… I don’t know what it is but I haven’t been captivated by the plot here.

Fyre has just found out about the illness that is draining the fearies. Seems like Tamil or whatever his name is has an interest in her and she’s resisting it hard 🤣

Very intriguing! I am at the part where the main character is entering the other world where the earies live. Sounds like it is about to get more exciting!
