I put this down to read Kingsley's "Book of Life". Finishing that, I think the man's delusional. Passed over the line from spiritual seeker to outright crazy. Apparently because the American Indian community couldn't accept him the way the Muslim Turkish community seems to have. He might see the advantages of a multi-ethnic, multi-racial, even secular communities. Now I dont know if I'll finish the last 100 pages.

I don't know how this got in my reading list. Did I pick up an old paperback and forgot? It's lost, and there's something ironic about a book on the afterlife disappearing...

I'm too depressed to keep reading Vonnegut now. Someday maybe. "So it goes"

Gave up on this. I was expecting a lot of Deadpool meta-commentary, and while this comic may have pioneered a character breaking the "fourth wall" , there's just too much dumb stuff to get through to reach any of those points.

well, this wasn't as entertaining as I hoped. And I'm not subscribed to Disney+ or whatever platform the new TV show is on. Interesting approach, I was excited about a lawyer/self-aware comic character, but I'm just not the intended audience I guess.

I kinda stopped reading his earlier book "Reality", to start reading Kinglesy's "A Book of Life", which seemed a bit lighter. But, it seems pretty... delusional. Kingsley has attempted to embrace indigenous American "Indian" spirituality. It involve a huge leap into a position of self-importance, as he now seems to think he has a central role in what sounds like end-time prophecy: Eschatology.

It's become obvious that negative reviewers haven't read the book through, or even a substantial amount! I'm reminded of lines of the Dao De Ching, about people dismissing and even laughing at The Way, otherwise it wouldn't be The Way!

up to 87 and the author has overshadowed my feeble metaphor of the zoo.I shall attempt to get some quotes, but he has a firm grasp on the fact that academic learning and intellectualism gets in the way of truth seeking. I'm very impressed. How could this possibly not remain outstanding philosophical writing to the end? I guess I'll find out

Not very good. Unrealistic in the sense that it sets a certain standard of realism and integrates historical events, than breaks the standard it set.
One problem in that stood out was the discovery of alien technology that manipulates time. The characters readily accept this as a matter of course.
