The book follows a forensic anthropologist to Glacier Bay, Alaska where human remains are found. The book has an overall slow start but describes anatomical features of bones quite well.

Incredibly detailed and enticing. With each sentence the author immerses you into Kya’s experiences, feelings, and thoughts. Owens does a wonderful job at describing Kya’s irregular life of living on the marsh while remaining a typical teenage year old girl at heart.

Multiple POVs have been given to detail possible motives of every character introduced. Christie leaves you on your toes in this “who done it” piece. Every one is a suspect, but who is guilty?

Very well written and gradual execution to the plot. The conversations keep me enticed onto what will happen next…
