If I don't read "Mabona's Tits!" again, I'd die a happy woman. Seriously, pick a new phrase FFS! 🤪

I do not like the narrators.
Samantha Brentmoor does these weird inflections that make everything sound like a question.
Megan Wicks mispronounces words like "chasm" (ch-asm instead of "k-asm").
Jason Clarke sounds like Chris Griffin from Family Guy and he speaks so quietly compared to the female narrators so if you turn up the volume to hear him better, the female narrators' part sounds too loud.

Ms. Jimenez does it again! I'm devouring it and sacrificing sleep, but I can't put it down!! 😁

The first 3 books in the series were very good but also quite heavy.
Everything's going wrong in this one now! It feels like watching a Jenga tower wobbling and swaying, knowing full well it'll come crashing down at any moment.
I have to put this book in the freezer for a bit (Friends reference).

Stockholm syndrome? We don't know it! I also think this whole book is an ad for Johnnie Walker Red Label! It's already been mentioned 6 times. 😂

I'm so confused! Where are we? What world are we in? What time period is this? All the magic stuff make me think it's a gothic fantasy setting, but then we have things like bible study and people from actual modern-day countries.

The name Hawk constantly reminds of the "hawk tuah" meme and makes me laugh.
Hawk is kind of like Dorian Havilliard; charming, funny, and witty the whole time and instantly loveable.
Author JLA's version of enemies to lovers is incredibly forced.
And by now we have completely forgotten about electricity and modern conveniences mentioned in the earlier chapters, and fully embraced the medieval vibes.

What century is this? One minute there's electricity, next we're back to sword fights, "sleeping drafts," and bath tubs filled with buckets. Also, what kind of name is "Penellaphe"??

The story is good so far, but who was the editor!? Because I feel like this doesn't need to be 1030 pages 😭

The way this FMC talks makes me say "yass queen!!!" out loud! I love that she's not a 19 year old brat with no personality.

So different from my usual picks, but I'm loving this.
I'm invested in all the characters and their individual stories, and the overlap between all of the stories. It's making me want to host weekly dinners for my ladies too! 🥹

Time and time again, romantasy proves that the girl never ends up with the blonde. It's always the dark-haired broody "enemy" who's the ultimate winner of her heart. But dammit, I WANT the blonde guy to win this time! He loves her so much! 😭😭😭

I'm thoroughly enjoying this! Greek mythology can get tedious and dry, but this one does a great job of stoking my intrigue.

Now that she's back, I'm wondering what was the point? It seems like her "sacrifice" accomplished nothing and made everything else worse.

Learning about my body from a fictional man written by a woman was NOT on my bingo card! 🤭

ACOTAR girlies! Are you an Azriel simp? Ever wonder what our shadow singer with the biggest wingspan does behind closed doors? Did you also lose your mind when Rowan Whitethorn told Aelin "you do not yield"? Well have I got a treat for you!!

There's a broody fae male named Azriel in this book and in chapter 53 he demonstrates his spicytime prowess AND says "you do not yield."

The FMC is sooo dumb! It's painful to read 😭

This one shares a lot of things that are ACOTAR-specific; like the overuse of "vulgar gesture" and "prick." They also had to go to make a bargain with this creepy lady locked up in a magical prison only accessed by his bloodline. Hmmm... where else have I seen that? 🤔

Ask "who is the woman" one more time! I dare you! 🙃

Don't do the audiobook. The narrators just kill every bit of potential enjoyment you'd stand to gain from a 760 page book. 😑

The author is obsessed with "parallel parking!" 😭😭😭 It's been mentioned 5 times already! It's not a flex that the big broody MMC (who is centuries old btw) can parallel park. And it's giving Crescent City, if you bashed its face in enough to avoid outright plagiarism.
