Ok, Cordelia annoys the crap out of me. Let's see....complete social ruin, or lifting my hem above my ankles for a brief moment? Not really that difficult of a choice. Then when the man who saves her from a knife-welding madman pressing a handkerchief to her cut, she acts as if he tried to grope her. Completely ridiculous.

This author consistently misuses words, and can not even keep track of her own characters. I can't count the number of times she uses the wrong name when referring to one of her characters. Surely, and editor would have caught these mistakes?

Sydney is a truly unlikable character. She is crude, confrontational, judgmental, hypocritical, egotistical, and a variety of other -al adjectives. To her being a cop is equal to being God, and three times as powerful. It's disappointing, since all other aspects of the book are enjoyable. Flawed characters are great, but this is ridiculous.
